| 10.19.06 worn in red CDs are now available for order. they will probably ship the first weekend in november, as the record release show will be november 2nd in charlottesville. if you order now, i will be sure to throw in some free stuff as i try to clean up my room. american hardcore starts tomorrow at E St. Cinema in DC. it's only showing for a week, so be sure to check it out. 9.30.06 good news and bad news. the bad news is that i just watched georgia tech beat up on my beloved hokies. they made a game of it, kinda. but it was still rough to watch. the good news. i will be putting out another CD. rosewater records number 8. 8 has been my favorite number since childhood thanks to one cal ripken, jr. anyway, it will be a 6-song CD from charlottesville, VA's worn in red. i could not be happier about this. they have ex-members of skyline awake, so it lends itself to creating a real community or family around the label. i expect to have the masters anyday now, so keep your eyes peeled for info. also in the bad news category, the spark have decided to call it quits. their last show is scheduled for october 14th in towson, md. so be sure to check that out. and finally, in the news neither bad nor good category, i created a myspace page for the label. it's honestly a lot easier to update than this site, especially sending out bulletins vs. maintaining an e-mail list. if so inclined, please add it: rosewater records on myspace! 5.9.06 the bail out! CDs are here! so order away! anyone who orders the CD before the last show on may 20th will receive a free cassette of bail out! live at CBGBs on easter sunday. we only made 100, and once they're gone, that's it. 4.9.06 i've been really busy lately, so it seems like i only update the site when i have new releases. this time it's to mention the bail out! discography CD called "another one bites the dust." it will be going to press this week and will hopefully be in for our final show on may 20th. i'll probably have some sort of pre-order up soon once i decide the best way to handle it. reviews for the bionic man CD have begun trickling in and have been pretty good so far. if you haven't picked that up, please do, you will not regret it. i turn 29 in two days. it kinda sucks. 8.16.05 finally something to report. the bionic man CDs are in and available for order. there are two mp3's posted in the bands section. this is the best material they've ever done, so do yourself a favor and pick up the CD. you won't regret it. the bail out! 7" is also now out on headcount records, so of course i'd love for you to go order that from them as well. i'm pretty proud of how it turned out, and hopefully people enjoy it. we just did a 2 week tour of the eastern US and it was a total blast. thanks to those who helped and those who came out to the shows. i have also been playing in a new band called secret lives, so stay tuned for updates about that. i didn't get around to updating the shows this time, but be sure to check out the spark when they head to california at the end of this week. 6.23.05 man, it's been sooo long since i even looked at this site. i've had other things going on and honestly kinda neglected the label and the site. so i just put everything into old news and figured i'd start fresh. the bionic man CD finally went to the press today. really delayed, i know. layout and monetary issues. but i mailed it off during my lunch break today, so it should be out in about a month. in other news, the bail out! s/t 7" is also being pressed right now. headcount records will be releasing that, and it should be out in about a month. we're doing a 2 week tour around that time as well. i'll try and get the dates up this weekend. work, softball, the bail out! record and other things have been ruling my life lately. but with the bionic man CD finally coming out, i'll be trying to concentrate on the label a little more. so be on the lookout for some things in the future. |
